the physics ain't realistic but you really feel like you are drifting instead of gliding like most arcade & ps3 versions where it feels like you are driving a rail car. It's the only Initial D game true to it's origin (at least for early stages) as it's the only Initial D game that focus on drifting.
I can tell you as you finish the story mode more times to unlock more cars, the difficulty increases so if you watched the videos on youtube they're probably the 1st run a.k.a 'Easy mode'. Used to play the story mode over and over because other modes & cars don't work on old emulation.
As Obscure as it is IMO the first Initial D Game for Playstation is the best, best in a way most fun.
